[ARCHIVED] New Connections Credit Union Clubhouse Coming to Riverside Golf Course - Investing in Community

The City of Pocatello is excited to announce the Riverside Golf Course, 3500 Bannock Highway, will soon welcome the Connections Credit Union Clubhouse. This new space is designed to bring the community together and encourage healthy, active lifestyles. Through a 20-year agreement, Connections Credit Union is helping make the new clubhouse possible, underscoring its commitment to investing in spaces where neighbors connect, families gather, and residents can enjoy the benefits of outdoor recreation.

The existing clubhouse, originally built as a barn nearly 80 years ago, has served the community well but has far exceeded its intended lifespan as a commercial building. Plans call for the new clubhouse to be completed before the current building is taken down, with demolition expected after the new structure opens in 2026.

Design work is already underway. The City has awarded the project to Construction Services, Inc. The new clubhouse is anticipated to feature approximately 3,300 square feet on the main floor, with a full basement for storing golf carts. Amenities will include patio seating, a golf simulator, and other modern features to enhance the golfer experience.

“I believe this is an advantageous opportunity for the City of Pocatello, Connections Credit Union, and golfers in Southeast Idaho,” said Parks & Recreation Director Anne Butler.

“We’re proud to partner with the City on a project that will enhance Riverside Golf Course and benefit the community for years to come,” said Jamie Simmons, CEO of Connections Credit Union. “Riverside Golf Course is an important part of Pocatello’s recreational offerings, and this new clubhouse will create an even better experience for golfers and visitors alike.”

Additional updates will be shared as the design process moves forward and timelines for groundbreaking and construction are finalized.
