In a unanimous vote at the June 5, 2025, regular City Council meeting, Dakota Bates was confirmed by the Pocatello City Council to fill vacant Council seat #4. His term takes effect immediately, and he will fulfill the remaining term through December 2025.
"I'm pleased City Council confirmed my nomination of Dakota Bates for Seat #4," said Mayor Brian Blad. "I believe he will serve the Pocatello community with integrity, responsibility, and a strong desire to move our city forward. I'm confident he will be a thoughtful and dedicated representative for our residents."
As of June 5, 2025, City Council Members are Hayden Paulsen (Seat #1), Brent Nichols (Seat #2), Corey Mangum (Seat #3), Dakota Bates (Seat #4), Linda Leeuwrik (Seat #5), and Rick Cheatum (Seat #6).
