Water Department Crews Return to Summer Working Hours, Water Line Installation Begins March 10

City of Pocatello News Posted on March 07, 2025

Starting March 10, 2025, our dedicated crews will be back to summer hours, and work will begin on a water line installation.

Water Department employees will switch to summer hours, working from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. This allows crews to take advantage of longer daylight hours and times of low traffic volume improving efficiencies at the construction sites.

Also, beginning Monday, March 10, 2025, crews will be replacing the water main line on Tanager Drive, Heron Avenue, and Oriole Avenue.

The project will be completed in phases and will require temporary street closures and parking restrictions between 6:30 a.m. and approximately 5:00 p.m. each day, Monday through Thursday. Every effort will be made to provide local access to the area when possible. Residents are asked to park all vehicles away from the construction area. At the close of each day, access will be restored to all properties. The work may cause short-term disruptions to water service. Individuals in and around the construction zone are encouraged to keep a supply of drinking water available.

The project is anticipated to take approximately four weeks to complete, the work schedule may change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Residents who have questions about this or any Water Department projects can contact department staff at (208) 234-6182. For additional information, visit Pocatello.gov/water.
