The City of Pocatello is excited to announce the launch of a new online permitting and application system for planning, building, public works, and fire applications. The online portal, called eTRAKiT, will allow community members and contractors to apply for and check the status of applications at their convenience, anytime, anywhere.
The new system aims to enhance customer service by streamlining the application review process, providing increased transparency into the review process.
Through eTRAKiT, applicants will be able to apply for building, fire, and engineering permits, as well as land use applications, home occupation licenses, and boarding house licenses; submit plans and documents electronically; view comments from City staff reviews; track status of permit and land use applications; schedule inspections; and pay fees.
The launch of eTRAKiT marks the culmination of over a year of work to streamline the City’s permitting and application processes. The new eTRAKiT portal is the public-facing end of the City’s new Central Square Community Development software, meaning that staff and applicants will be working on permit applications in the same real-time system. The City anticipates the new system will expedite permit and application processing. Current permits and applications should convert to the new system automatically however, we request your patience as we navigate through this for the coming weeks.
The eTRAKiT system is used by the State of Idaho and many other Idaho cities for permitting and application processing. The familiarity of this system should help contractors transition quickly and easily to our new system.
