[ARCHIVED] Half-off Cat and Dog Adoptions at Pocatello Animal Shelter December 11 through 14

Home for the Howlidays!

You can add a cat or dog to your family for half-price December 11 through December 14, thanks to Friends of the Pocatello Animal Shelter.

Recently, the group chose to cover 50 percent of the adoption cost from the shelter. Residents can adopt a cat for $17.50 plus tax, or a kitten (six months old and younger) for $25 plus tax. Or a dog for $65.00 plus tax, all adoptions include vaccinations, spay or neuter surgery, a microchip for permanent identification, a pet license, and a collar (total value of $300).

“Thank you to The Friends of the Pocatello Animal Shelter for their generosity,” said Chris Abbott, Animal Services Director. “Cats and dogs make delightful companions for anyone looking to adopt a pet. Their diverse personalities range from energetic and playful to calm and laid-back, making it easy to find a furry friend that suits your lifestyle. Whether you prefer a cat that loves to play with toys and explore, a dog that enjoys outdoor adventures, or one that loves lounging and cuddling, there's a perfect match for you.

Animal shelters are full of cats and dogs, each one hoping to find a loving forever home. By adopting from a shelter, you're not only giving an animal a second chance but also gaining a loyal and loving companion. Consider visiting your local shelter to meet some of these wonderful animals and find the perfect addition to your family.
