The Marshall Public Library (MPL) is excited to announce the kickoff of the StoryForge Writing Challenge, a month-long initiative designed to inspire writers of all ages to dive into their creative writing projects. Reminiscent of National Novel Writing Month, the StoryForge Writing Challenge will launch next week and invites participants to commit to writing a total of 30 hours on a single writing project throughout November. The StoryForge Writing Challenge aims to transform writing from a solitary pursuit into a collaborative community experience.

The kickoff event will be October 30 at 6 p.m. in the MPL Exploration Center and includes a keynote address from acquisitions editor and author Sally O'Keefe, a writing accountability partner mixer, and a writing sprint to jump-start the writing challenge.
