The Bureau of Reclamation (Bureau) is proposing to provide funding through a WaterSMART (Sustain and Manage America’s Resources for Tomorrow) grant for the City of Pocatello to perform a river restoration and wetland creation project at Centennial and Rainey Parks. Together, they are seeking public input on this action.
You can find more information about this project on the City website at: river.pocatello.gov/2020-centennial-park-plans/, including a Scoping Information Package. This project was the highest priority project from the Portneuf River Vision Study 2016 and is slated for construction in 2026-2027.
Please help the Bureau identify important issues and concerns regarding the proposed action by providing your written comments by November 18, 2024. Written comments can be emailed to sra-nepa-comments@usbr.gov.
