Join us for Pocatello’s first Parks, Recreation, Open Spaces, and Trails (PROST) Plan open house August 28 at 6 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers, 911 N. 7th Avenue. Discover the results from online surveys and community engagement opportunities, and learn about the upcoming process for future implementation of the PROST Plan.
During the meeting, attendees will see a presentation that will include the survey results and community engagement recorded from March through June of 2024. Additionally, attendees will get to see an overview of the process moving forward and a chance to speak with City staff and the consultant.
The PROST Plan was identified in the City’s recently adopted Comprehensive Plan as a priority project. The plan will provide an inventory and analysis of current facilities and programs, a needs analysis, a park design manual, a capital improvement plan, an operations and maintenance plan, as well as funding, and implementation strategies. Overall, the Plan will provide needed guidance moving forward in creating quality public spaces, facilities, and programs for the community.
