The City of Pocatello’s Planning & Development Services Department would like to thank the members of the public who provided comments, both in writing and orally during the November 15 public hearing regarding proposed changes to the City’s Sign Code.
During the meeting, the Planning & Zoning Commission continued the hearing to its December 13, 2023 meeting. However, based on the public comment received, City staff decided to form a focus group to evaluate concerns from public comment. Therefore, the December 13 meeting has been canceled to give sufficient time to work with the focus group. The group is comprised of sign contractors, business owners, community leaders, and members of the general public.
When a revised draft is completed, staff will present the draft changes to the City Council in a future work session. The public will be notified of any future public hearing via notices published in the Idaho State Journal and the City’s website and social media platforms.
