The following is a list of the annual 12 recognized holidays for members of the Bargaining Unit:

  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Friday following Thanksgiving

  • Floating Holiday*

*The floating holiday is a day designated by a member and not a set day of the year.

Holidays listed in Section 1 are defined as an 8-hour day for 40-hour employees, 6-hour day for 30-hour employees, and a 4-hour day for 20-hour employees. Holiday hours will be accrued per pay period and will be included in the Police Vacation/Holiday Accrual bank.
