“Check out” our Seed Library at the Marshall Public Library! The Seed Library is a collection of open-pollinated, heirloom, and hybrid seeds (vegetables, herbs, and flowers) that anyone in our area can “check out” to plant at home. Seeds are available starting Saturday, March 29. So, come in, check out a garden book, take home some seeds and let’s get growing!
There is a limit of three seed packets per person. “Return” your seeds by sharing some of your harvest with others in our community or saving seeds for use next year. Marshall Public Library (MPL) will accept saved seed returns that are clearly labeled or bring in produce this fall for The Idaho Foodbank through the Garden to Give program.
MPL Seed Library is possible this year with a donation of seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company, Burpee Seeds, Giving Ground Seeds, High Mowing Seed Company, Idaho Grimm Growers, and Seed Savers. If you have extra seeds, we will gladly accept donations for our Seed Library.
Have questions about the Seed Library? Please contact Librarian Kristy Lyon, 208-232-1263 ext. 106.
