Starting Wednesday, June 25, the City of Pocatello Water Department will begin work to replace the water main line on South Arthur Avenue, between West Whitman Street and West Terry Street.
Crews will start at the intersection of South Arthur Avenue and West Whitman Street and proceed southeast towards West Terry Street. Work will occur Monday through Thursday, from 6:30 a.m. to approximately 5:00 p.m. each day. The project will require temporary street closures and parking restrictions during working hours. Every effort will be made to provide local access when possible. Residents are asked to park all vehicles away from the construction area. At the close of each day, access will be restored to all properties. The work may cause short-term disruptions to water service. Individuals in and around the construction zone are encouraged to keep a supply of drinking water available.
Parents and guardians are asked to instruct children to stay clear of the work zone, as it presents safety hazards.
The project is anticipated to take approximately eight weeks to complete, although the schedule may change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
