Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad has announced his selection for vacant Seat #4 on the Pocatello City Council.
At the June 5, 2025, regular City Council meeting, Dakota Bates will be considered for Seat #4. Seventeen applications were considered for the seat, and Mayor Blad interviewed six candidates.
If the nominated individual is confirmed by City Council, Bates seat on City Council would be effective June 5, 2025, and Bates would fulfill the unexpired term through December 2025.
Current City Council Members are Hayden Paulsen Seat #1, Brent Nichols Seat #2, Corey Mangum Seat #3, Linda Leeuwrik Seat #5, and Rick Cheatum Seat #6.
