Help for Stuttering Is Just a Visit Away at Marshall Public Library

City of Pocatello News Posted on May 14, 2025

The Marshall Public Library (MPL) is proud to announce the addition of new educational materials on stuttering, thanks to a generous donation from The Stuttering Foundation. These newly available books and DVDs offer valuable support and information for individuals who stutter, as well as those who care for and work with them.

The resources are aimed at a wide audience, including parents, adults who stutter, speech-language pathologists, educators, pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The DVD content features some of the world's leading speech therapists working directly with children who stutter, offering practical insights and proven techniques. The donation from the Stuttering Foundation enhances the MPL’s commitment to serving as a hub for inclusive, accessible information.

Since 1947, the nonprofit Stuttering Foundation has distributed free, research-based materials to public libraries across the country to raise awareness and support those affected by stuttering. MLP is honored to be part of this effort and welcomes the community to explore these resources.

For more information or to access the new materials, visit the MPL in person or at marshallpl.org.
