Marshall Public Library Announces Partnership with Kasama Provincial Library in Zambia

City of Pocatello News Posted on May 12, 2025

Marshall Public Library (MPL) is excited to announce its new sister library partnership with Kasama Provincial Library in Zambia!

What’s a sister library? It’s a unique opportunity to connect communities across the globe. Through this partnership, both libraries will engage in sharing culture and creativity via story times, pen pal letters, art exchanges, short stories, poetry, and collaborative projects, bringing joy and connection across continents.

To kick off the partnership, MPL is hosting a special celebration Saturday, May 17, at 11 a.m. in the Exploration Center. Guests will enjoy:

A presentation and story time with two native Zambians

    Traditional African snacks

A chance to write letters or draw pictures to send to Kasama

A video introduction from our sister library in Zambia

Come celebrate with us and be part of this exciting international friendship!
