Sacajawea Park Tree Removal Along the Portneuf

City of Pocatello News Posted on November 12, 2024

The City of Pocatello has contracted Top Notch Tree Services to remove two large trees along the Portneuf River that have fallen into the water. For safety reasons, please stay clear of the Greenway path north of the parking area on Aspen Drive while crews are at work with heavy equipment.

Crews will also be removing a couple of smaller trees in the area in preparation for the City’s rerouting of the Greenway Trail away from the eroding streambank. For more information on this project, please contact Hannah Sanger, Science & Environment Division.

Sacajawea Park is accessible to persons with disabilities. Program access accommodations may be provided with two (2) days’ advance notice by contacting Skyler Beebe at sbeebe@pocatello.gov; 208.234.6248; or 5815 South 5th Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho.
