    Come to our season kickoff event! Use our rental equipment at no charge or bring your own to avoid delays. Trail passes are free for the day and volunteer instructors give free mini lessons. We will have rental equipment available in two hour increments. You can sign up for your two hour slot on our website at rent.pocatello.us. We will have some excess equipment but it is first come, first served and not guaranteed. Consider renting in advance from a ski shop in Pocatello to guarantee a stress free day. Snowshoes are also available. Make sure to check out our Facebook page at Pocatello Outdoor Recreation for more information leading up to the event.

  1. Adult Women's Basketball Registration

    The Adult Women’s Basketball League begins play in February. The league is scheduled to play on a Monday through Thursday basis. Games times are 7:30pm, 8:30pm and 9:30pm at Hawthorne Middle School, 1025 W. Eldredge. Play is governed by the rules of the National Federation of High Schools with special modifications for our league. Paying the team fee allows teams to have up to 10 players on their roster.

  2. Future Hoopers (Ages 5 & 6)

    This program is for 5-8yr-old boys and girls, and focuses on introducing the participants to basketball and the development of basic motor skills necessary to play organized basketball, while they work one-on-one and spend quality time with their parents. The program focuses on teaching children and their parents dribbling/ball handling, shooting, passing/catching, and running/agility. Each week the exercises become increasingly difficult as the class progresses and the children show improvement. There are no designated teams or coaches. Parents are required to participate and assist with their child. The class is 45 minutes long once a week for 4 weeks and is limited 8 participants per class session. Class will be held at the Community Rec. Center 144 Wilson. Cost for the class is $40.00. All participants will be provided a basketball that they will keep.
