Water Rates (effective October 1, 2022)
To determine your water line service fee and water volume charge rate, you need to know three things:
- Water line size
This is the diameter of the water line that connects your residence (or building) to the water main. Most single-family homes have a 3/4-inch or 1-inch water line. - Whether the building is inside or outside the city of Pocatello
You are charged for water at a higher rate if you connect to city water but are located outside the city limits. - Water used

Sanitation Rates (effective October 1, 2022)
To determine your sanitation service fee, billing charge, and additional services fee, you need to know three things:
- Type and size of cart/container
The base fee for your sanitation service is determined by the type and size of your cart or container. Every account is also assessed a monthly billing fee. The standard cart for a single-family home is a 96-gallon residential cart. - Optional add-ons
As a sanitation service customer, you may request additional carts for a fee including residential carts, recycle carts, and yard waste carts. If you request a residential cart as part of your service, your first recycle cart incurs no additional fee. - Additional services (by request)
You are charged for additional services you may request such as additional garbage pickups (beyond the included weekly pickup).
