Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program

Pocatello residents are encouraged to participate in the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection program. Events are held annually at the Fort Hall Mine Landfill. The HHW program gives residents a means to properly dispose of their unwanted oil, paint, pesticides, herbicides, and more.

The Fort Hall Mine Landfill will accept up to 5 gallons each of the accepted household wastes listed below.

  • Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs
  • Fluorescent Tubes
  • Gas/Oil
  • Paints
  • Pesticides/Herbicides
  • Waste Auto Fluids

Not Accepted

  • AG Chemicals
  • Commercial Waste
  • Explosives
  • Leaking Containers
  • Mixed Waste
  • Unlabeled Waste
