The City of Pocatello Sanitation Department offers dumpster rental services to help homeowners, business owners, and contractors clean up messes big and small. Our dumpster rentals provide low-cost and efficient clean-up solutions for businesses, remodels, renovations, clean-outs, and many more projects.

Residential Services

Temporary 3-Yard Container

The most common dumpster used for home projects and temporary trash removal is a 3-yard container.

    Rent:  $2.50 per day (30-day maximum)
    Dump:  $25.00 per dump or removal

  • Service Requests
    To schedule the delivery, removal, or dump of a temporary 3-yard container, please call the Sanitation Department at 208-234-6192. Requests received by 12:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday may be completed the same day.
  • Service Schedule
    Deliveries, removals, and dumps are completed sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and cannot be scheduled for a specific time.
Rocks, bricks, concrete, and asphalt shingles are NOT ALLOWED in containers.
Refrigerators, freezers, air-conditioning units, items with Freon, hazardous waste, and tires are NOT ALLOWED in containers.
Paint is NOT ALLOWED in the containers unless it is latex paint that has been dried out with sand or kitty litter.
All items need to be small enough to fit in the containers, and the lids must be able to close. Larger items should be cut down to 4' lengths.
If filling the container with dirt or sod, fill it only a quarter full. 
Containers must be placed on the street or alley unless a Private Property Release of Liability waiver is signed by the property owner. Waivers may be signed and notarized at the Sanitation Department office.

Commercial Services

Permanent 3-Yard Container

Our most common dumpster used by business owners is a 3-yard container. Need something bigger? We also have 6-yard containers.

    To schedule the delivery, removal, or special pick-up of a permanent 3-yard container, please call the Sanitation Department at 208-234-6192. Requests received by 12:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday may be completed the same day.
  • Service Schedule
    Deliveries, removals, and dumps are completed sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and cannot be scheduled for a specific time.

Roll-Off Boxes

For larger projects or commercial accounts, 20-yard open-top and 30-yard open-top or lidded boxes are available for daily or monthly rentals. Twenty-yard open-top boxes are reserved for sod, dirt, concrete, rock, and roofing projects.

Refrigerators, freezers, air-conditioning units, items with Freon, hazardous waste, and tires are NOT ALLOWED in the boxes.
Paint is NOT ALLOWED in the boxes, unless it is latex paint that has been dried out with sand or kitty litter.
If filling the box with dirt, sod, or concrete, fill only half full

Boxes may not be placed in alleys.
