The City of Pocatello Speakers Bureau is an outreach program designed to educate students, teachers, civic and private groups and community partners about City services, programs, resources, facilities and careers. The community will get an inside look at local government through presentations and discussions conducted by City professionals.
Each department at the City of Pocatello handles a multitude of issues, and staff can speak about various topics. When selecting a topic, consider your audience and the area of interest. Topics can be designed around a particular issue or concern, if requested.
There is no cost for the presentations. The staff at the City looks forward to assisting you with a speaker and booking the specified professional on the requested date. However, it may sometimes be necessary to change dates or topics during times of heavy bookings to meet all requests. Thank you for the interest in having the City of Pocatello be part of your next program.
How to Request a Speaker
To request a speaker for your group, the City of Pocatello Speakers Bureau must receive your request preferably 2 to 3 weeks before the event.
The request process is handled online through the Speakers Request Form. The form asks for basic information about the event (date, time, location, audience, topic, etc.) that will be needed to process your request.
When you press “submit,” the completed form will automatically be sent to the Speakers Bureau Coordinator. The Coordinator will acknowledge your request, review it and direct it to the most appropriate speaker. We look forward to working with you.
